Has anyone ever succeeded in using certificates from smart cards for client credential over transport security mode?
I have a WCF service that expects a valid certificate from the client. When I use a certificate created with makecert tool, I'm able to connect to the WCF service. When I try using the certificate stored in my smart card however, I get a "Hash not valid for use in specified state" error.
My smart card is valid because when I use it for websites that require client certificates, I get a prompt for the smart card PIN. Once the correct PIN is entered, I'm able to access the website.
From my searches so far, it looks like smart card is not widely used so I'm having no luck finding resources online.
